Waxing

For an effective way to remove unwanted hair in almost any part of the body, there may be no better option than waxing. Unlike shaving or depilatory creams, which cause hair to grow back almost immediately, waxing removes hair from the roots and therefore has longer-lasting effects. In fact, you can often go for three to eight weeks before you must wax again. There are other benefits too: Hair grows back softer and more sparsely, making the process easier each time.

The process of waxing is simple. Hot wax is applied to the unwanted hair; then, a paper strip is pressed on top and ripped away, taking the hair with it.

Waxing is not for everyone. Those with diabetes, varicose veins or poor circulation are vulnerable to infection. In addition, certain medications weaken the skin. If you are taking medication, make sure you discuss the procedure with one of our qualified nurses first.
